My name is Garrett Best. I was born and raised in Birmingham, AL. My parents, Jack and Michele, raised me to love the Lord and love the church. After graduation, I attended Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, TN. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible and Spanish and a minor in Greek. After college, I began working on my Master of Divinity degree at Harding School of Theology in Memphis, TN which I completed in 2014. In fall 2015, I began working on my PhD in Biblical Studies at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, KY.
I am married to an amazing woman, Robin, and we enjoy life together with our dalmatian, Gage. On September 4, 2015, our son Jackson Lee was born. From 2010-2015, I served as one of the ministers at the Oliver Creek Church of Christ in Bartlett, TN.
One thing I have learned from studying the Bible and serving in ministry is how much I have yet to learn. I have realized that I will be a student for the rest of my life. I may not be in a formal education atmosphere for the remainder of my life (hopefully not anyway!), but there will always be something new to learn. I invite you to join me on the journey of being a lifelong student of the Lord.
